The application of lemon and lime juice have been used in the East African cultures for decades. They are typically applied via douching or some other liquid application. However, there is no medical proof to back up this herbal practice.
Regardless of how diluted you make the lemon/lime and water mixture, it has been clinically proven that it will cause vaginal abrasions as well as increase your risk for contracting sexual transmitted diseases, like HIV. The acidic property of the juice tends to break down the cells in the vaginal lining.
This makes the vagina more susceptible to damage and diseases. It can also cause severe tenderness, redness, usual discharge, and peeling. The citric acid present in lemons and lime will result in an unfavorable change in your vaginal pH level. This could lead to unwanted infections, such as Candida.
So to give you a short answer here, don't use lemon or lime juice in any home remedy to tighten the vagina. Not only will it not work, but it can damage the most delicate part of the body.
Instead we recommend using over the counter, medically prepared solutions such as V-Tight Gel. You can be ensured that these products are safe to use on the vagina and will not cause any unwanted side effects.
